The Family Therapy Center is not an emergency service, hotline, or crisis center. We cannot provide emergency support. If you are in crisis or are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, such as uncontrollable feelings about hurting yourself or others, call 911, RAFT at (540) 961-8400, or go to your local hospital emergency room. The Family Therapy Center collects your information electronically solely for the purpose of providing access to our services in a convenient and timely manner. All information requested on the forms is used by your assigned therapist to guide initial and ongoing treatment. All information is confidential and available only to the staff of the Family Therapy Center. All clinical records are confidential and are not shared with any other persons except in cases of child or dependent adult abuse/neglect, threats of harm to self and others, court orders, or with the client’s written permission.
